Before "switching sides" to represent victims of legal malpractice, Mr. Voorhees represented insurance companies in the defense of legal malpractice claims for 25 years. He has chaired the Malpractice Insurance Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is intimately familiar with how insurance companies do business, and in many cases with the personalities of the decision makers. He is an expert in legal malpractice insurance policies and how the terms of those policies can effect the value of claims and the fate of lawyers who rely upon those policies for protection. Since "switching sides" several years ago, he has brought the unique perspective of an insurance company insider to his representation of individuals and corporations who have been injured by lawyers and of lawyers who need protection from their own insurance companies. |
